Description:
A wonderful example of a documentary tea canister from the highly sought after pottery, Bovey Tracey of Devonshire. In rectangular form on short peg feet, the corners with cherub terminals, each aspect moulded in relief with cherubs allegorical of the seasons highlighted in blue within feathered borders.
Circa 1796
Approx - 5 inches (125mm) tall.
In very good condition throughout, one cherubs head terminal professionally restored, cover missing.
